Colors in Water – Annual Exhibition of the Suriname Watercolor Society

The Suriname Watercolor Society proudly presents its Annual Exhibition, titled “Colors in Water.”
This inspiring event brings together the country’s most passionate watercolor artists along with distinguished international guest artists, celebrating creativity, culture, and the timeless beauty of watercolor as a medium.

“Colors in Water” reflects the flow of artistic expression and the deep connection between water, color, and emotion — much like Suriname’s own rivers and rich natural landscapes that inspire so many of our artists.

About the Theme

“Colors in Water” celebrates the fluid harmony of watercolor — where transparency, spontaneity, and light converge. The theme invites artists to explore the interplay between color and water, symbolizing both the unpredictability and beauty of life itself.

From delicate landscapes to expressive portraits and nature-inspired scenes, each piece offers a unique perspective on how watercolor can capture emotion, atmosphere, and imagination.
